Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties that I cannot explain, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) has been taken off line for testing and repairs and won't likely be back online until Spring.
However, this is the perfect time for you to discover that inner physicist within you and understand what the LHC is all about.
Some questions the LHC hopes to answer:
- What is mass?
- What is 96% of the universe made of?
- Why is there no more antimatter?
- What was matter like within the first second of the Universe's life?
- Do extra dimensions in space really exist?
You can read more about the LHC in plain English at their website.
